Shumaun

Shumaun brings its progressive rock/metal sound to Jammin Java, performing alongside CH3MTRAILs and Greenhead. The concert is part of the Jammin Java/Union Stage Presents 25th anniversary series, with commemorative merchandise available through the anniversary gift shop.

Shumaun began as a solo project by Farhad Hossain before developing into a full band with Jose Mora on bass, Feras Arrabi on guitar, and William Burton on drums. Since its 2015 debut, the group has released four critically acclaimed albums and earned recognition from outlets including PROG Magazine, Revolver, Decibel, Metal Asylum, and Progressive Music Planet. Its music combines soaring melodies and intricate compositions with immersive soundscapes and high-energy live performances.

CH3MTRAILs is a heavy, progressive atmospheric rock band from Fredericksburg, Virginia. The band’s debut EP, *This Could Have All Been Avoided*, is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026. Greenhead is a Washington, DC, stoner rock and doom metal band whose latest album, *Subherbia*, is available on streaming services.
