HCC Faculty Concert - Perspectives: Stylistic Synthesis and Musical Identity in Chinese Art Songs
HCC Faculty Concert: “Perspectives: Stylistic Synthesis and Musical Identity in Chinese Art Songs” is a lecture-recital exploring the development and expressive character of Chinese art song. The program traces the repertoire from early 20th-century pioneers through contemporary composers, examining how Chinese poetry, pentatonic melodies, and Western musical influences combine to create a distinctive musical language.
