ERIC DARIUS

Eric Darius brings his high-energy contemporary jazz show to the Birchmere, combining virtuosic saxophone playing with elements of R&B, hip-hop, funk, pop, and other styles. Known for his signature jump and engaging stage presence, the Billboard chart-topping artist will showcase music from an evolving career that includes eight acclaimed albums, seven No. 1 singles, and 20 Top 10 hits on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Chart.

Darius began performing at age 11 with Sonny LaRosa & America’s Youngest Jazz Band and recorded his first independent album at 16. His 2004 major-label debut, *Night on the Town*, helped establish him as a major contemporary jazz artist. His upcoming album, *Too Good 2 Let Go*, features a first single that topped the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts for several weeks.
