Eric Darius, the Billboard-charting smooth jazz saxophonist celebrated for his electrifying stage presence and genre-fusing style, brings his signature high-energy performance to the Birchmere Music Hall. Born into a Caribbean-influenced musical family in Tampa, Florida, Darius began performing early, playing the Montreux Jazz Festival at age eleven and releasing his first independent album at sixteen. He made a major-label debut in 2004 with *Night on the Town* and was hailed as Debut Artist of the Year by *Smooth Jazz News*. Over his career, he has earned seven No. 1 hit singles and twenty Top 10 radio hits on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Chart, along with awards including SESAC’s Top 10 Jazz Artist of the Year (2015) and the BEATS Best Artist of 2025. His music fuses jazz with R&B, hip-hop, funk, and pop, as heard in his recent chart-topping single “Too Good 2 Let Go” from his forthcoming album. Darius has shared stages with Prince, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, David Foster, and many others, and appears on TV shows such as FOX’s *The X Factor*. He also hosts the San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival and other events, and runs his own SagiDarius Music label.
