Broadway Showcase: Legends and Legacies: George Mason University Chorale Annual Broadway Showcase

The George Mason University Chorale presents its annual Broadway Showcase, “Legends and Legacies,” a concert celebrating the enduring impact of musical theater’s most iconic voices and the evolutionary arc of the American stage. The program moves through Broadway history, from golden-age standards that helped build the American songbook, through the doo-wop harmonies and rags-to-riches story of Jersey Boys, into the community-driven rhythms of In the Heights, and culminating in the underdog energy of Newsies. Throughout, the showcase highlights how each generation of composers and lyricists has reshaped the theater while tracing the common threads of ambition, identity, and belonging that connect them all. Each performance closes with an audience sing-along.

When: Friday, April 2, 2027, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, April 3, 2027, at 2:00 p.m.

Venue: Harris Theatre, George Mason University Center for the Arts, Fairfax Campus.

Dates: April 2–3, 2027.

Showtimes: Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets: $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $10 for youth. Prices include fees.

Accessibility: An ASL-interpreted performance is offered on Saturday, April 3, at 2:00 p.m.
