Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur at Sixth & I is part of the synagogue’s High Holidays programming, inviting participants to pause, gather in community, and engage with spiritual practices and questions during a difficult and uncertain time. This year’s theme centers on “kotzer ruach,” a Hebrew phrase describing a constricted or overwhelmed spirit, and the possibility that ritual, community, and hope can help expand our capacity to breathe and move forward.

The Yom Kippur schedule includes both a full service and a condensed service, followed by an evening Havdalah and break-fast gathering.
