Octo Octa & Faited Pres. By Doll Factory X Hyperdrum

Octo Octa and Faited headline a Doll Factory and HYPERDRUM party at Transmission, bringing together Octo Octa’s carefully crafted house music and Faited’s vinyl-focused sets. Octo Octa’s work combines detailed sound design, melodic composition, and physical, dance-oriented rhythms. After beginning as an IDM artist and sound designer, she gained wider attention with her 2011 debut EP, *Let Me See You*, and has since toured internationally while developing a distinctive production style.

Oakland-based DJ, producer, and DIY loudspeaker designer Faited draws on the tension between the exuberance of late-1990s dance music and the more restrained sounds of the 2000s. Her recent appearances have included Draaimolen Festival, The Great Beyond Festival, System Activate, Smartbar, Ohm for Subglow in Berlin, and Signal in New York. Through Faited Systems, she also designs and builds custom sound systems for clubs and music crews throughout the United States.
