Octo Octa & Faited Pres. By Doll Factory X Hyperdrum

Octo Octa and Faited headline a Doll Factory × HYPERDRUM night at Transmission, bringing together Octo Octa’s finely crafted house music and Faited’s vinyl-focused DJ style. The event runs across all floors from late evening into the early morning and is limited to guests age 21 and over.

Octo Octa began as a fringe IDM artist and sound designer before her 2011 debut EP, *Let Me See You*, brought her to the attention of international house audiences and helped raise the profile of the underground label 100% Silk. Her work combines detailed composition, carefully shaped sound design, and driving dance-floor rhythms, and she has continued to produce music while touring internationally.

Faited is an Oakland-based DJ, producer, and DIY loudspeaker designer. Her primarily vinyl sets explore the contrast between the excesses of late-1990s dance music and the more restrained sound of the 2000s. Her recent appearances include Draaimolen Festival, The Great Beyond Festival in Minnesota, System Activate in Vermont, Smartbar in Chicago, Ohm for Subglow in Berlin, and Signal in New York. Through Faited Systems, she also designs and builds custom sound systems for clubs and collectives throughout the United States.
