St. George's Chamber Series
St. George’s Chamber Series presents a midday chamber music concert at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Arlington. The program features works by Poulenc, Brahms, and Chopin, performed by oboist Laurel Kuxhaus, guest bassoonist Nancy Switkes, pianist John Sutherland Earle, guest violinist Olga Yanovich, pianist Irina Koulikova, and pianist Victoria Bragin.
The concert opens with Poulenc’s Trio for Oboe, Bassoon and Piano, followed by Brahms’s Violin Sonata in A Major. The program concludes with three Chopin works: Polonaise in E-flat Minor, Op. 26, No. 2; Nocturne in D-flat Major, Op. 27, No. 2; and Waltz in A-flat Major, Op. 34, No. 1.
