FLOW

FLOW is a photography exhibition by Baltimore-based artist Rachel A. Sale, presented at The LINE DC in partnership with Transformer. The series portrays women using yoga as a way to express resilience, vulnerability, strength, presence, and self-definition. Rather than treating the body as a performance, the work presents movement and pose as practices of grounding, healing, agency, and inner balance.

Each photograph is accompanied by personal reflections about how yoga helps the subjects navigate adversity, reclaim control, and remain present through uncertainty. Originally produced as a calendar series and shared during the Women’s March in Washington, D.C., FLOW connects individual ritual with collective empowerment. The exhibition is part of a presentation of Sale’s work exploring identity, perception, and the lived experience of the body.
