Photography Competition Series: October 2026 - May 2027
Photography Competition Series: October 2026–May 2027 is a monthly program from the Silver Spring Camera Club designed to help photographers improve through friendly competition, shared learning, and constructive feedback. A judge reviews and comments on every entry before selecting the winning images, making the series about learning from fellow photographers as well as competing.
Entries are divided into novice, intermediate, and advanced levels. Each meeting features separate competitions for projected digital images and physical prints. Winners may briefly discuss their photographs with the group. Participants can join at any point, and the series also includes weekend photo walks, online talks by professional photographers, member presentations, tutorials, and photo-sharing opportunities. Mirrorless cameras, smartphones, DSLRs, film cameras, and drones are all welcome.
