Conversations at The Kreeger Museum

Conversations at The Kreeger Museum is a specially designed program for individuals living with mild to moderate memory disorders and their care partners. Each hour-long session combines an interactive, guided discussion of a single artwork from the museum’s collection with a live musical component, aiming to spark reflection, reduce stress, and foster connection and communication. The program is held at the Kreeger Museum and is free and open to participants, though advance registration is required due to limited space. Three fall sessions are scheduled, each focusing on a different work of art: on August 24 participants will explore Isamu Noguchi’s sculptural piece *Soliloquy* (1962); the October 26 session will examine Pablo Picasso’s *Still Life with Ears of Wheat* (1943); and the December 7 session will discuss Picasso’s *At the Café* (1901). Registration for the August 24 date opens first; spaces for the later dates will be released after the August session. Only one reservation per pair (participant and caregiver) is needed, and the registration form will ask for both names. The museum also offers group bookings for assisted living facilities—those interested should email the provided contact to schedule a separate session.
