Memory Cafe at Meadowbrook Local Park

Memory Café at Meadowbrook Local Park is a partnership between Carpe Diem Arts and Montgomery Parks for adults experiencing memory loss or memory change and their care partners, including family members, friends, or contract caregivers. Participants take part together in welcoming, nature-inspired arts experiences led by professional teaching artists trained in dementia-friendly practices.

The program combines creative activities, relaxed social time, art and nature programming, and light refreshments in a supportive community setting. Activities take place indoors or outdoors when weather permits, with the park environment shaping the experience.

When: August 14 through December 18, 2026.

Showtimes: Individual dates listed are October 9, October 23, November 13, November 20, December 11, and December 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Tickets: Free. Registration is required.

Participants: Adults with memory loss or memory change and one care partner, such as a family member, friend, or paid caregiver.

Activities: Side-by-side arts experiences inspired by nature, facilitated by master teaching artists with dementia-friendly training. The program also includes social time, art and nature activities, and light refreshments.

Setting: Indoor and outdoor activities, weather permitting.
