Celebrate the Summer of Soccer at The Wharf’s FIFA World Cup 26 Watch Zone on Pearl Street. On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the iconic riverside destination fires up a 14-foot jumbotron to show South Africa vs. Canada, part of the World Cup tournament schedule. The watch zone is free and open to all, with matches shown daily from noon to 10pm (extended hours for USA games). For this match, the big screen will be live an hour before the first match of the day, with the South Africa vs. Canada kickoff at 3pm. Pearl Street between Kirwan’s on the Wharf and Colada Shop becomes a lively outdoor viewing area with high-top tables available during watch parties. Food and drinks can be purchased from nearby restaurants and kiosks; alcohol is permitted only within licensed restaurant patios or the designated event footprint for Team USA watch parties (this match is not a Team USA watch party, so alcohol consumption is restricted to indoor/patio areas of partner venues). Seating is first come, first served; guests are asked not to bring chairs or coolers. The screen operates rain or shine, with indoor viewing options at partner restaurants in case of severe weather.

When: Sunday, June 28, 2026. The watch zone is open from noon to 10pm; matches are shown starting from the first game of the day.

Showtimes: South Africa vs. Canada kicks off at 3pm. The big screen will be on an hour before the first match of the day and runs through the 9pm game (exceptions for USA and Argentina matches, which are shown regardless of start time).

Tickets: Free admission. No payment required to watch matches or attend watch parties. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Lineup: South Africa vs. Canada (FIFA World Cup 26 match).

Run time: Standard 90‑minute match plus halftime. The watch zone remains active until the last match of the day ends.

Venue: Pearl Street at The Wharf, between Kirwan’s on the Wharf and Colada Shop, Washington, DC.

Note: Seating is first come, first served at restaurants on Pearl Street and at H‑Bar at Hyatt House. High-top tables are set up on Pearl Street during watch parties. No chairs or coolers allowed. The screen operates rain or shine; severe weather may cause pauses or cancellations, with indoor viewing available at partner restaurants. Parking is available in three onsite garages and adjacent offsite locations; rideshare, bike share, Water Taxi, and Metro are also options.
