Big Moments, Little Stories

Big Moments, Little Stories is a family-friendly storytime and hands-on art activity inspired by the Anacostia Community Museum exhibition *We Make History*. Young children and their caregivers will hear a story about how ordinary experiences and personal moments can become part of the history communities share and remember. After the story, children will make artwork connected to the story’s themes and the exhibition, reflecting on how today’s experiences may become tomorrow’s stories.

The program is intended for young learners ages 18 months through 7 years and takes place in person at the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum.

Recommended ages: 18 months–7 years

Supervision: Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
