Alfredo Mojica Group brings a high-energy evening of Latin music to Bossa Bistro & Lounge on Friday, September 4, 2026. Led by Alfredo Mojica, a veteran percussionist and vocalist with deep roots in the DC salsa scene, the group delivers a spirited mix of salsa, bachata, merengue, and more, designed to keep dancers moving all night. Mojica, who was born in Central America and began performing as a young musician, has shared stages with legends including Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, Willie Colón, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, El Gran Combo, and Ray Barretto. On this evening he will be joined by a rotating roster of top-tier musicians, offering an ebullient performance that showcases his seamless command of timbales, congas, and bongos while he sings salsa classics with an impassioned, distinctive style. The show takes place in the downstairs performance space, and guests should come ready to dance.
