Irish Step Dance for Adults
Irish Step Dance for Adults is a class series presented by Kate Spanos Irish Dance for experienced Irish dancers. The program explores multiple Irish step-dance styles, with particular attention to festival-style technique from Northern Ireland. Classes focus on strength, control, musicality, rhythm, stage presence, and a well-rounded understanding of Irish dance.
Held in a fun, noncompetitive setting, the series introduces new steps and choreography approximately once a month. Students work in both soft shoes and hard shoes, with the opportunity to continue dancing and performing even if they are no longer interested in competition. Participants may also have opportunities to perform with Kate Spanos Irish Dance during the year.
