Mini Collage Wonders is an in-studio mini workshop led by mixed-media artist Sharon Robinson, offering a relaxed and user-friendly evening for participants to create either a small matted collage artwork ready for a standard frame or a collaged mini-journal with blank pages. The session covers basic materials and processes, with all supplies provided, and no prior experience is required. Robinson guides attendees through the playful possibilities of collage and mixed media, with the option to add pockets, keepsakes, and decorative backgrounds to the journal for later enhancement. The workshop runs from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, and registration closes on July 24, 2026.

Instructor: Sharon Robinson, a mixed-media, collage, and assemblage artist based in the Washington, D.C. area. She holds a Master’s of City Planning from MIT, worked in urban transit and development for 20 years, and became a full-time artist in 1999. Her teaching experience includes classes at the Smithsonian, Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA, and Pyramid Atlantic. She also serves on the board of Pyramid Atlantic and the Mt. Level: Beginner – no experience necessary.

Materials: All materials are provided. Optional items to bring include a personal apron (or wear clothes that can get messy), collage materials from your own stash (decorative papers, magazines, pictures, newspapers, old books, sheet music, maps, etc.), inkpads, stamps, stencils, and a notepad and pen for taking notes.
