Amanda Spaid: Locals (Exhibition)
Amanda Spaid's exhibition *Locals* presents a series of detailed drawings focused on birds found throughout the Washington, D.C. area, turning the artist's attention to hyper-local subjects. By slowing down to closely observe the natural life unfolding in our own backyards, Spaid invites viewers to reconsider their relationship with the places they inhabit, encouraging thoughtful stewardship of local ecosystems and inspiring decisions that benefit all who share them, from humans to birds alike.
