Read the Room

Read the Room is a crowd-work comedy showcase hosted and produced by Tim D. Miller at DC Improv’s lounge showroom. The participating comedians will engage directly with the audience, using spontaneous conversations and interactions to create an informal, unscripted atmosphere that may lead into prepared material or entirely in-the-moment laughs.

Miller, a DMV comedian, draws on experiences ranging from growing up in Waco and serving in the Army to working at the White House and raising a daughter. He has appeared on truTV, performed at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest in 2019, and is known for his ability to find humor in everyday situations. He has won multiple DC Improv Comedy Kumite competitions and was a finalist in Comedy Kumite XL in 2023.
