BANDITS ON THE RUN
Bandits on the Run is a Brooklyn–Queens trio whose theatrical indie-folk combines acoustic, electric, and bass guitars with cello, accordion, suitcase kick drums, and occasional megaphone. Adrian Blake Enscoe, Sydney Shepherd, and Regina Strayhorn trade lead vocals and instruments, creating three-part harmonies and story-driven songs shaped by their origins busking on the subway.
The group has performed at venues and festivals including Cambridge Folk Festival, Floydfest, Summerfest Milwaukee, Americanafest, and the Singapore Grand Prix, and has opened for The Wood Brothers. Their music has appeared through NPR’s *Tiny Desk*, *The Moth Story Slam*, Netflix’s *Ask the StoryBots*, and the film *The Same Storm*. Their theatrical approach also led to an adaptation of text from *As You Like It*, later released as the EP *The Shakespeare Tapes*. Sam Sample supports the show with an “AmeriRock” style that blends Americana songwriting with indie and alternative rock. Her debut album, *I’m Moving to the Moon*, has passed 2.5 million streams, and she is preparing her second LP, *Look in the Mirror and Beg*.
