Lunch and Tour of the DACOR Bacon House
Arts Club of Washington members are invited to a midday visit to the historic DACOR Bacon House in downtown Washington. The program combines social time, lunch, a discussion of DACOR and the mansion’s history, and a guided tour of the house, which has welcomed prominent figures—including former President James Monroe—since 1825.
The visit is part of the Arts Club’s celebration of the nation’s semi-quincentennial and its connection to Monroe. DACOR is an organization of foreign-service professionals whose members maintain and gather at the Robert and Virginia Bacon House.
