Featuring: Jason Schmidt, Haven Madison

Singer-songwriter and actor Jason Schmidt brings his blend of soulful pop and heartfelt storytelling to Union Stage on August 20, 2026, with alt-pop artist Haven Madison opening the night. The concert is free, offering a chance to see two rising performers in an intimate Washington, D.C. venue. Schmidt, known for his work in Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical *The Outsiders* and in Paramount+’s *Grease: The Rise of the Pink Ladies*, has also built a dedicated following as an independent recording artist. His catalog includes two EPs, the singles “My Ego Loves You” and “Growing Up,” and the relationship-focused track “Close By.” His most recent single, “Can’t Compare,” arrived in mid-August, and he is now signed to the New York City–based label Artisthouse, co-founded by Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Gregg Wattenberg and music industry veteran Steve Lerner, as he prepares for new music and touring.

Haven Madison, who joins Schmidt as the evening’s featured performer, is an alt-pop singer-songwriter known for emotionally direct and unflinchingly honest lyrics. She released her debut EP *Roses* on October 17, 2025, with all seven tracks exploring themes of self-acceptance and unfiltered feeling. The project includes the singles “If You’re Into That,” “Shapeshifter,” “Anybody,” “Why Do the Pills Work,” and “Castle,” the latter of which became the number two most added track at Top 40 Pop Radio in its first week and soon cracked the Top 20. Her newest single, “Uncross Your Heart,” arrived February 27, 2026. Madison has already built a reputation as a compelling live performer, having toured North America with Stacey Ryan and opened for major acts including Tate McRae, OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake, Lainey Wilson, Alex Warren, and Jelly Roll.
