The Grateful Allman Band Experience

The Grateful Allman Band Experience (GABE) brings together the music of the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers Band, and The Band in an improvisation-focused live show. Inspired by the spirit of the legendary Watkins Glen Summer Jam, the performance combines adventurous jams, musical interplay, and enduring songs from all three groups.

Featuring musicians connected with Mid-Atlantic acts including Danger Bird, Covered with Jam, Montgomery Warlocks, and the Crimestoppers, GABE is presented as a celebration rather than a costumed tribute act. The band has performed for more than a decade from the Carolinas to New Jersey, with recent sellout shows attracting audiences of more than 200 to 350 people. The event is intended for both dedicated jam-band fans and casual listeners.
