Samba Dance Classes with Mariana Triginelli

Samba Dance Classes with Mariana Triginelli is a weekly Thursday class from EducArte focused on the energetic Brazilian dance style’s technique, rhythm, and expressive movement. Participants will develop footwork, body isolations, hip work, and new choreography while building the skills needed to perform samba with live percussion if they choose.

The class is open to everyone from beginners through advanced dancers, semi-professionals, and instructors, and no audition is required. Thursday students also have the opportunity to rehearse with EducArte’s bateria at Levine Music, across the street, creating a combined practice experience for dancers and percussionists and exploring how movement and music work together in samba.

When: Thursdays, September 10 through December 10, 2026, with no class listed for November 26.

Showtimes: September 10, 17, and 24; October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29; November 5, 12, and 19; and December 3 and 10, all from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Run time: 90 minutes per class.

Instructor: Mariana Triginelli grew up in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and has practiced samba since childhood. Her training includes workshops with established samba teachers Natalia Moreno and Preta Nascimento, and her instruction draws on her experience with samba, Brazilian Carnival, dance, and Brazilian cultural traditions.

Experience level: All levels are welcome, including beginners, advanced dancers, semi-professionals, and dance instructors. No audition is required.
