Pianist Jeffrey Siegel brings his acclaimed Keyboard Conversations® format to the Center for the Arts, combining engaging commentary with live performance to explore Frédéric Chopin’s transformative years in Paris from 1831 to 1849—nearly half of his brief and tumultuous life. The program features the joyful Ballade No. 3, the devilish Scherzo No. 3, the dreamy Nocturne in D-flat, and the uplifting Polonaise in A major, described by the Toronto Star as “a musical bridge-builder in action… Siegel showed just how illuminating the combination of words and abstract music may be.” The evening concludes with a short audience Q&A.
