Boycott Room DC
Boycott Room DC is a community-organized response to Boiler Room’s presence in Washington, DC. The event brings together local underground artists, musicians, organizers, vendors, and community groups to demonstrate what the city’s independent scene can offer without relying on Boiler Room or its corporate backing.
The organizers are protesting Boiler Room’s 2025 acquisition by Superstruct, which is owned by KKR. They accuse KKR of profiting from violence against Palestinians and the seizure of Indigenous land, and of using arts and culture to conceal those investments. Boycott Room DC is intended to redirect attention, participation, and funding away from Boiler Room while raising money for families and initiatives in Palestine.
