Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel: Virtuoso Variations

Jeffrey Siegel returns to the George Mason University Center for the Arts with his acclaimed Keyboard Conversations® series for an evening titled "Virtuoso Variations." This program explores the art of variation through works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. The repertoire includes Beethoven’s variations on “God Save the King,” Mendelssohn’s *Variations Sérieuses*, Tchaikovsky’s melodious Variations, Op. 19, No. 6, and the famous 18th variation from Rachmaninoff’s *Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini*. Siegel intersperses the music with engaging commentary, a style praised by the *Boston Herald*, and the evening concludes with a short audience Q&A.

When: Sunday, April 4, 2027 at 7 p.m.

Venue: George Mason University Center for the Arts, Concert Hall, Fairfax Campus.

Tickets: $60, $52, and $38, with half-price tickets for youth through Grade 12. All prices include fees.

Lineup: Jeffrey Siegel, piano, performing works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff.

Run time: Approximately 90 minutes, plus intermission.

Pre-performance: A “Young Artists Musicale” featuring piano students from the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association will take place at 6 p.m. in the main lobby of the Center for the Arts.

Free student tickets: A limited quantity of free tickets is available to George Mason University students; these are distributed two Tuesdays prior to the event.
