“Holding Liat” Screening & Talk Back with Director Brandon Kramer

“Holding Liat” is an award-winning documentary screening presented as part of the Washington West Film Festival. The film follows Israeli American couple Liat and Aviv Atzili, who were taken captive in Gaza after Hamas attacked their kibbutz on October 7, 2023. Their family’s efforts to secure their release unfold amid international diplomacy, war, grief, uncertainty, and sharply differing political viewpoints.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with director Brandon Kramer. The film was shortlisted for the 2026 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
