Tommy Mesa & Olga Kern
Tommy Mesa and Olga Kern open Dumbarton Concerts’ 49th season with an in-person recital devoted to the cello-and-piano partnership. The program spans classic American and European repertoire, pairing major sonatas by Beethoven, Debussy, and Barber with shorter works by 20th- and 21st-century composers.
Cellist Tommy Mesa, a 2025 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and frequent orchestral soloist, performs with pianist Olga Kern, an internationally recognized artist and former winner of the Van Cliburn Competition. Together, they present an evening that also reflects both musicians’ interest in contemporary music and new repertoire.
