Garden Tots | Patterns

Designed for toddlers and their caregivers, the "Patterns" session of Hillwood Estate's Garden Tots program invites children ages two to five to discover colors, shapes, and repeating designs in the museum's gardens. Through make-believe, hands-on art-making, and imaginative play, participants will explore how patterns appear in nature, then create a patterned garden lantern to take home. Each class is limited to fifteen children and requires an accompanying adult, with a minimum of four children needed for the session to run.

When: Friday, October 9, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Showtimes: One 60-minute session.

Tickets: Tickets are not yet available. General admission is $12 per child (ages 2–5) with an accompanying adult; Member price is $10 per child with an accompanying adult.

Ages: Designed for children ages two to five; each child must be accompanied by an adult.

Venue: Hillwood Estate, Museum and Garden, located in Washington, D.C.

Note: The program requires a minimum of four enrolled children to proceed. The accompanying adult is included in the ticket price. Membership discounts are available for Hillwood members.
