Jake Blount

Jake Blount is a Providence, Rhode Island–based performer and scholar whose work explores Black folk music. Known first for his mastery of string-band music, he brings together research and performance in a wide-ranging musical practice. His appearances have included Carnegie Hall, the Newport Folk Festival, and NPR’s Tiny Desk.
