Virginia Opera: Pagliacci
This production of Ruggero Leoncavallo’s classic verismo opera *Pagliacci* tells the story of a traveling troupe of comedians whose onstage performance begins to dangerously echo the real-life jealousy, hidden love affairs, and secret betrayals unfolding among them. As the line between comedy and tragedy blurs, the evening erupts into a suspenseful tale of heartbreak and revenge. Presented as part of the Great Performances at Mason series, the opera is sung in Italian with English surtitles displayed above the stage.
