Lineup: The festival features three productions. “La velada” (November 5‑8) is directed, choreographed, and performed by Marta Gálvez (Spain Flamenco Arts, Spain), accompanied by guitarist David Durán, singer Rosa Linero, and percussionist Luis Dorado. The show explores the interplay of tradition and contemporary vision, with dance as a passage where past breathes into present and inherited movement transforms. “Entre dos sombras” (November 13‑15) is a world premiere by Flamenco Aparicio Dance Co. (USA), a tribute to Paco de Málaga and Ana Martínez, who ignited Washington DC’s flamenco scene in the late 1970s. “Danzas solemnes” (November 20‑22) is directed, choreographed, and performed by Cristina Cazorla (Torito Artists, Spain/USA), a journey through elegant Spanish dance set to classic music by J. Rodrigo, C. Debussy, J. Turina, P. Luna, and others. Cazorla is accompanied by Javier Moreno, Susana Algora, Adrián Gómez, and Isabel Serrano; the show includes original music by Álex Pernas and works by Debussy, Chapí, Rodrigo, Turina, García Abril, Sanz, and Briceño.
