MARTY STUART AND HIS FABULOUS SUPERLATIVES

Marty Stuart, a five-time Grammy winner, Country Music Hall of Famer, and lifelong torchbearer for traditional country music, brings his longtime band the Fabulous Superlatives to the Birchmere for a single night of high-energy, virtuosic performance. The show highlights Stuart’s storied career—from his early days with Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash through his platinum-selling solo work and recent instrumental double LP *Space Junk*—while showcasing the interplay of guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson, and bassist Chris Scruggs. Expect a set that weaves classic hits like “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’” with newer material from his acclaimed 2023 album *Altitude* and the cosmic-country exploration of *Space Junk*, all delivered with the sharp suits and wry humor that have made Stuart a beloved figure in American roots music.
