Soyboyz
Soyboyz is a political comedy show featuring Jeff Maurer and Jesse Singal, a duo presenting themselves as a deliberately pathetic portrait of American masculinity. Their material ranges from personal questions about where their lives went wrong to absurd historical hypotheticals involving Churchill and FDR, along with commentary on whether the #RESISTANCE could become irritating enough to help Donald Trump win a third term.
Maurer is a DC native and DC Improv favorite who wrote for the original staff of *Last Week Tonight with John Oliver*, earning five Emmys and two Peabody Awards. Singal is a Brooklyn-based journalist, podcast host, and author whose work focuses on social-science controversies, internet culture, and related subjects.
