Jenny Tian: Ripe
Jenny Tian brings her new stand-up hour, *Ripe*, to DC Improv. The Australian-Chinese comedian became an online sensation during the pandemic, building an audience of more than one million through videos that have earned millions of likes. After selling out her 2025 DC Improv debut, she returns in 2026 with a completely new show.
Tian is known for her sold-out Australian solo shows, international festival appearances, and her role in season two of *Taskmaster AU*. Her work combines Australian, Chinese, and internet-driven comedy, drawing on her experiences as a performer living and working across Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

About the performer: Tian is a regular on Sydney’s comedy circuit whose first solo show, *Picture This*, sold out across Australia and became a YouTube special with nearly one million views. Her follow-up hour, *Chinese Australian: A Tale of Internet Fame*, also sold out throughout Australia and played sold-out engagements at the Edinburgh Fringe and London’s Boulevard Theatre.
Career highlights: Tian has appeared in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Galas and was a cast member on season two of *Taskmaster AU*, earning a Logie nomination for Best New Talent. She has also completed a U.S. tour of *Jenny’s Travels*, was named by *Deadline* as a comedian to watch in 2026, and released her third special, *Supreme Mother*, on Veeps in May 2026.
Current projects: Tian is starring in and co-writing *Dupermarket* with Patrick Golamco, a web series in post-production supported by Screen Australia and YouTube’s Skip Ahead initiative.
