Lili Iravani, A. H. Pazoki and Homayoun Yeroushalmi: Whimsical Daydreams
Whimsical Daydreams is a summer exhibition at The Aryan Gallery, part of Pars Place / IACC, that brings together three celebrated Persian artists—Lili Iravani, A. H. Pazoki, and Homayoun Yeroushalmi—in a vibrant exploration of imagination, memory, and cultural narratives. The show transforms the gallery into a poetic space where colorful abstraction, surreal landscapes, and dreamlike imagery invite visitors to step beyond the ordinary. Each artist contributes a distinct voice: Yeroushalmi’s exuberant visual prayers fuse Persian-Jewish heritage with the poetry of Hafez and streetscapes of Georgetown, Pazoki’s spontaneous abstract drawings channel organic nature and Persian mythology, and Iravani’s whimsical, naive-style paintings of birds, cats, and people radiate joyful simplicity. Together, they create an uplifting journey that blurs the line between reality and reverie.

About the Artists: Homayoun Yeroushalmi paints exuberant visual prayers celebrating love, peace, and cultural reconciliation, drawing from his Persian-Jewish heritage and the poetry of Hafez; his colorful canvases blend Georgetown streetscapes with mystical Persian iconography, pulsing with messages of hope and unity. A. H. Pazoki, an architect and educator, creates spontaneous abstract drawings that explore the organic language of nature, evoking real and imagined landscapes through intricate, interconnected forms influenced by Persian embroidery, miniature painting, and ancient storytelling, inviting viewers to engage with spiritual echoes beneath the surface. Lili Iravani, a painter and photographer born in Shiraz, brings a whimsical, deeply personal perspective; with a background in architecture and urban design, she has devoted herself to painting since 2007, producing charming, naive-style depictions of birds, cats, and people that radiate a joyful, playful spirit.
