Dax J

Dax J headlines a Transmission techno night focused on his distinctive, hard-edged underground sound. The London-born DJ and producer has built a reputation for technically precise sets, rare-record selections, and forward-looking sound design, rising from small backroom parties to major techno institutions while maintaining a strong connection to the underground.

His career includes repeated Top 100 recognition in Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, and Groove Magazine polls, along with nominations for Best Techno DJ, Best Breakthrough DJ, and Best British DJ from Mixmag, DJ Mag, and the DJ Awards. He is also known for extended closing performances, including 10-hour sets at Berghain and Bassiani. As a producer and label owner, he operates Monnom Black, the label behind his acclaimed 2015 debut album, *Shades of Black*. The album was named Mixmag’s Album of the Month, described by Hardwax as “brilliantly banging,” and reached number one on Juno Records’ charts.
