OFFSITE: dream brigade (Phillip Golub & Lesley Mok)

An off-site performance by dream brigade, the improvising duo of pianist Phillip Golub and drummer Lesley Mok. Presented by Transparent Productions, the concert centers on the pair’s highly personal instrumental interplay, moving beyond the tightly composed structures of their individual work.

Their self-titled debut album, released March 14, 2025 by New York creative-music label Infrequent Seams, combines immersive improvisations with the duo’s distinctive interpretations of two jazz standards. Golub and Mok met while studying in Boston at the New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, respectively, and began performing together in 2021. Since then, dream brigade has appeared at venues and festivals including The Jazz Gallery, CloseUp NYC, Spoleto Festival USA, Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, and The Bop Stop.
