Mason Symphony Orchestra Concert: Beginnings & Triumphs (2026)

The George Mason Dewberry School of Music presents the Mason Symphony Orchestra in a program celebrating the early achievements of Beethoven and Verdi. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 combines Classical poise with the youthful originality that would shape his later symphonies, while Verdi’s Nabucco Overture opens the concert with dramatic energy, sweeping melodies, vivid orchestral color, and lyrical passages.
