RIOT GRRRL’S NOT DEAD DC! is an all-ages punk concert featuring Washington, D.C.’s Buko Buko, queer-Americana trio Ammonite, and Baltimore punk duo Bitter Tits. The bill brings together Riot Grrrl-inspired energy, cathartic songwriting, and a lively, irreverent approach to live performance.

Buko Buko describes its sound as bright, playful punk shaped by Riot Grrrl and “mean mommy” energy. Their shows emphasize dancing, moshing, comedy, colorful outfits, cheap wigs, crowd interaction, gummy-worm giveaways, banter, and energetic dance moves. Their debut album, *All You Can Eat*, was created to bring what the band calls “feral joy” to the mosh pit, with songs addressing subjects ranging from food-themed metaphors to immigrant experiences. The band’s name means “young coconut” in Tagalog and reflects the singer’s Filipino heritage.

Ammonite combines heartland folk and punk intensity in a style described as Queer Americana for people raised on punk. The trio is led by Erin Frisby and Selena Benally, whose vocals, guitar work, and songwriting move through vulnerability, tension, emotional release, and lyrical discovery while retaining the spontaneity of a basement show. Bitter Tits, a Baltimore-based duo, performs direct, personal punk rock drawn from the members’ own lives, with a mission centered on helping audiences endure, remember, forget, and celebrate together.
