His solo arrangement of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” became a viral hit, followed by widely viewed pieces including “One,” “The Impossible,” and “Jump.”

Career highlights: Dawes has performed and recorded with artists including Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues, Tommy Emmanuel, Christopher Cross, Periphery, The Aristocrats, and the Athens State Orchestra. He recorded “Accomplice Vol. 3” with Tommy Emmanuel and appeared on Justin Hayward releases including *Spirits…Live*, which reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard chart.
