Madre Cumbia - Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto con Fruko y Carmelo Torres

Madre Cumbia is a historic collaboration among Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, Fruko y Sus Tesos, and Carmelo Torres y Su Cumbia Sabanera. The performance traces Colombian cumbia’s evolution across generations, bringing together the ancestral sounds of gaitas and drums, the sabanero accordion tradition, and the electric bass that helped reshape tropical music.

More than an album presentation, the event celebrates the artists who have preserved, transformed, and carried cumbia’s living musical legacy forward.
