Behind the Scenes: The Art of the Execution
Behind the Scenes: The Art of the Execution is a special behind-the-scenes event that dives into the intricate craft and machinery behind Olney Theatre Center's production of the Tony Award-winning musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. The event will be led by Director Eleanor Holdridge, Director of Production Jerid Fox, Associate Artistic Director and Musical Director Chris Youstra, and Associate Artistic Director Hallie Gordon, who will serve as "agents in charge" tracing the show's DNA back to its roots. They'll explore the grand tradition of Gilbert & Sullivan's satirical operettas and the high-octane world of Vaudeville that demands a single virtuoso performer to inhabit an entire family tree, and share secrets of the show's precise physical comedy and complex modern stage machinery.
