The Bends – If You Insist Tour
The Bends bring their If You Insist Tour to Union Stage on November 17, 2026, with Common People joining the bill. The band, a Baton Rouge-bred and Nashville-based alternative rock quartet, is known for fuzzed-out power chords, hypnotic hooks, and candid, character-driven lyrics that capture everyone from a bored hipster in ripped jeans to the friend who only shows up for the party. Their garage-born sound has helped them rack up millions of streams and catch the attention of artists like Zach Bryan.
The four members—Hayden Field on vocals and guitar, Ian Marmande on guitar, Jacob Rhodes on drums, and Chase Perkins on bass—met at LSU and spent their early days playing marathon cover sets at college bars and frat parties. After releasing their first original track, “Makeup,” the song gained major traction when Zach Bryan shared it on Instagram and called it his song of the year. It went on to earn more than 6.2 million Spotify streams, leading into later releases like “Fair Weather” and 2025’s Leeward Drive EP. The band also connected with Better Than Ezra frontman Kevin Griffin, who produced and co-wrote “Virginia” and introduced them to Warner Records. The current tour supports a series of 2026 singles and their upcoming debut album for Warner Records.
