The Phillips Plays is a drop-in family program focused on how artists create. In October, children and caregivers will examine an artwork from The Phillips Collection’s permanent collection and make art using similar techniques and materials. The program includes hands-on exploration in the studio, as well as opportunities for creative play.

Families can also join a child-friendly tour at 11 a.m. or noon, or spend time in a carpeted play area equipped with blocks, books, toys, and games.

When: October 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Showtimes: Kid-friendly tours are offered at 11 a.m. and noon.

Format: In-person, drop-in program

Tickets: General admission is required; the page does not provide a general-admission price. The program is included with admission, and members receive free general admission.
