Billy Coulter Band
Billy Coulter Band brings Washington, D.C. singer-songwriter Billy Coulter’s blend of Roots Rock and Power Pop to Hank Dietle’s Tavern, with Americana/Roots duo The Truehearts opening or sharing the bill. Coulter draws on influences ranging from Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty to John Lennon and David Bowie, combining classic-rock inspiration with an individual songwriting and vocal style.
Coulter has received 20 Washington Area Music Awards, including Album of the Year for *Dose*, Song of the Year for “Party of One,” and Songwriter of the Year. He also won the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest Grand Prize for “A Million Pieces.” His live performances have appeared at venues and festivals including The Birchmere, Rams Head, Strathmore, and The Hamilton, often in support of nationally known acts.
The Truehearts are singer-songwriters Debra Buonaccorsi and Steve McWilliams. Their Americana and Roots music features close harmonies, memorable hooks, and songs about love, longing, dreams, and cautionary tales.
