Unearthing Foundations is a juried exhibition open to Latinx/Latine artists, centered on the theme of exploring foundations, groundwork, and bedrock. The exhibition will be on view at the Montpelier Arts Center (MAC), a venue managed by the Maryland-National Park and Planning Commission’s Arts and Cultural Heritage division. The juror for the exhibition is Rebecca Perez, a Washington, DC-based artist and curator. The show runs from September 11 through November 1, 2026, and provides a platform for emerging and established artists to present work that delves into the literal and metaphorical layers of what underlies community, identity, and creativity.

Venue: Montpelier Arts Center, managed by the Maryland-National Park and Planning Commission, Arts and Cultural Heritage division, offers visual, literary, and performing arts experiences for all ages in spaces for printmaking, sculpture, painting, ceramics, and more.
