Chanel Tres brings a genre-fluid live set to 9:30 Club, combining house, rap, funk, and West Coast soul into hypnotic club music with the weight and presence of hip-hop. Raised in Compton, he first gained broad attention with “Topdown” and “Controller” in 2018, and has since become known for a calm, magnetic performance style that has taken him from intimate venues to Coachella.

The performance supports *Enigma*, his follow-up to 2024’s *Head Rush*. The album was made largely in isolation in Topanga Canyon and includes work alongside Thundercat, Pharrell, and Nick Sylvester. Tres has also collaborated with KAYTRANADA, SG Lewis, and Jungle.
