Jewish Welcome Workshop

600 I Street Northwest, Washington, DC

Jewish Welcome Workshop is a 38-week course for people who want to learn more about Judaism and/or explore conversion. Designed for people who are not Jewish or who have recently discovered Jewish ancestry, the program combines classroom learning with immersion in the Sixth & I and broader Washington, DC Jewish community.

Through lectures, group activities, text study, and holiday celebrations, participants build a foundation in Jewish knowledge and practice. By the end of the program, non-Jewish participants will be prepared either to convert to Judaism or to live as a Ger Toshav, or “fellow traveler,” with the Jewish people. No prior Hebrew knowledge is required.

When: September 1, 2026 through June 10

Showtimes: Typically Tuesdays from 6:30–8:30 p.m. The opening session is scheduled for September 1 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
