Substrate returns for its ninth edition with a debut appearance by Binh at Transmission. Known for deep, vinyl-focused house and techno sets, Binh Nguyen has built a respected career while maintaining a deliberately low profile. His work is connected to influential institutions including Club der Visionaere and Perlon, and his sound reflects more than a decade of intensive record digging, extended DJ sessions, and a preference for timeless selections shaped with a thoughtful, understated touch.

Originally from Düsseldorf and now based in Berlin, Binh has also been associated with the long-running Noon residency at Club der Visionaere. His approach centers on deep digging, vinyl playback, and extended sets, making him a prominent figure in the less easily categorized corners of contemporary house and techno.
